FUNAAB Mourns: Student Christianah Idowu to Be Buried Today After Alleged Murder
FUNAAB Student Christianah Idowu Laid to Rest Amid Murder Investigation.
The funeral of 300-level Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta State (FUNAAB) student Christianah Idowu, allegedly murdered by a friend after a ransom payment, holds today at Sabo Ikorodu Cemetery in Lagos.
Idowu’s body was exhumed and autopsied by police, with results pending. Her remains were released to her family after the examination.
The victim, an industrial training student at the University of Lagos, was abducted along the Ikorodu-Yaba road. Her abductor demanded N3 million in ransom from her family.
Investigations revealed that Adeleye Ayomide, a 200-level Olabisi Onabanjo University Philosophy student and Idowu’s friend, was responsible for her abduction and murder. Ayomide is currently in police custody and will face charges upon completion of the investigation.
