EFCC Nets 22 Suspected Internet Scammers in Benin City Raid [Photos]
EFCC Cracks Down on Internet Fraudsters in Benin City, Arrests 22 Suspects.
In a targeted operation, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Benin Zonal Directorate arrested 22 suspected internet fraudsters in various locations across Benin City on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
The suspects were apprehended based on credible intelligence linking them to internet-related fraud. During the operation, EFCC operatives seized 10 exotic cars, laptops, and phones from the suspects.
The EFCC has confirmed that the suspects will face criminal charges in court once investigations are completed.
This latest crackdown on internet fraudsters underscores the EFCC’s commitment to tackling cybercrime and bringing perpetrators to justice.
