NAVAL OPERATIONS NET ILLEGAL REFINERY IN DELTA STATE.
In a significant blow to oil thieves, the Nigerian Navy’s Forward Operating Base ESCRAVOS uncovered and dismantled an illegal refining site in Otumara creek, Warri South-west LGA, Delta State, on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
The raid, codenamed Operation DELTA SANITY, yielded a substantial haul, including:
– 2 wooden boats
– 5 dug-out pits
– Numerous drums containing stolen crude oil and illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO)
