Nasarawa State Horror: Gunmen Slay Teacher, Kidnap 9 Others, Including Children
Bandits Strike in Nasarawa State: Teacher Killed, 9 Abducted, Including Children.
A devastating attack by suspected bandits has left a primary school teacher dead and nine others, including children, abducted in the Lokogoma community of Toto Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.
The incident, which occurred on Friday around 12am, saw Yakubu Mohammed, a teacher, shot dead, while his two children were taken hostage. Seven other residents, including two women, were also abducted during the raid.
A woman sustained bullet injuries during the attack, which has sent shockwaves through the community.
Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters on Tuesday, stating that an investigation has been launched. Efforts are underway to rescue the victims and apprehend the culprits.
The attack is the latest in a string of violent incidents in the region, highlighting the growing security concerns in Nasarawa State.
