Tinubu Touches Down in Beijing for Five-Day Official Visit to China [Photos]
PRESIDENT TINUBU ARRIVES IN BEIJING FOR LANDMARK FIVE-DAY VISIT TO CHINA.
President Bola Tinubu has touched down in Beijing, China, for a five-day official visit aimed at strengthening economic ties and securing investments in key sectors.
According to Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Olusegun Dada, President Tinubu will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping and hold meetings with top Chinese business leaders on the sidelines of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit.
The President’s itinerary includes site visits to major Chinese corporations, such as Huawei Technologies and China Rail and Construction Corporation (CRCC), with a focus on completing the Ibadan to Abuja segment of the Lagos to Kano high-speed rail line.
President Tinubu is also scheduled to meet with 10 selected CEOs of major Chinese corporations, with assets under management totaling over $3 trillion, across various sectors, including ICT, oil and gas, and financial services.
Several Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) are expected to be signed during the visit, covering areas such as green economy, agriculture, satellite technology development, and blue economic development.
As Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, President Tinubu will deliver remarks on behalf of the region at the FOCAC summit and participate in the high-level peace and security plenary.
This landmark visit is expected to yield tangible benefits for the Nigerian economy and people, with President Tinubu prioritizing deliverables and results-oriented engagement.
