Nigerian Army Rescues 13 Kidnapped Students in Kaduna State.

In a daring counter-terrorism operation, Nigerian Army troops have freed 13 students kidnapped by terrorists in Kaduna State.

The rescue mission, carried out on September 12, 2024, involved a fierce gun battle with insurgents at Chigbolu village in Kachia Local Government Area.

According to an Army statement, the troops overpowered the terrorists, forcing them to flee and abandon their captives. A thorough sweep of the area led to the rescue of 13 victims – six males and seven females.

The operation also resulted in the elimination of some insurgents, while others were captured alive. Troops seized a significant cache of arms and ammunition, including:

– One AK-47 rifle
– 87 rounds of 7.63mm ammunition
– Four magazines
– A locally fabricated rifle
– N192,220.00 in cash
– Five solar panels
– Five mobile phones
– Dry rations
– Clothing items

The rescued victims have been taken to 1 Division Medical Services and Hospital for medical attention.

This operation marks a significant victory for the Nigerian Army in its fight against terrorism and insurgency in the region.
