Market Chairman Assassinated in Enugu
Enugu Market Leader Assassinated by Gunmen.
Tragedy struck in Enugu State on Saturday, September 14, 2024, when gunmen suspected to be assassins killed the chairman of Ogbete Market Trader’s Association (OMATA), Stephen Aniagu.
The incident occurred around 7 p.m. in the Topland area of Enugu, where Aniagu was shot dead while driving home. Eyewitnesses report that the hoodlums flagged down his vehicle and opened fire, resulting in his instantaneous death.
A graphic video clip obtained by our news team shows the lifeless body of Aniagu lying in a pool of blood, surrounded by shocked residents.
The motive behind the killing is yet to be determined, but authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
Aniagu’s assassination has sent shockwaves through the market community, with many traders and residents expressing outrage and demanding justice for the slain leader.
