Labour Party’s Olumide Akpata Suffers Setback as PDP’s Asue Ighodalo Wins His Polling Unit.
In a surprising twist, Olumide Akpata, the Labour Party candidate in the Edo gubernatorial election, lost his own polling unit to Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The PDP secured 41 votes, while the Labour Party trailed behind with 32 votes, and the APC garnered 19 votes in PU11, Ward 06, Oredo LGA.
This outcome has sparked interest in how the rest of the election will unfold, considering Akpata was expected to perform well in his home base.
