Nigeria’s National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) is seeking data scientists to transform public health data into actionable evidence for policy design and implementation. As a data enthusiast, this role offers the chance to drive data accessibility and informed decision-making in Nigeria’s healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities:

– Data Management: Develop analytical models, conduct statistical analyses, and implement data solutions using visualization tools to tackle complex health problems.
– Knowledge Sharing: Define data digitization strategies, establish data cleaning methods, and provide thought leadership through research and collaboration.
– Problem Solving: Collaborate with data analysts to determine best data visualization and analysis methods.
– Stakeholder Coordination: Ensure effective coordination of internal and external data digitization initiatives and facilitate training sessions.

 Ideal Candidate Profile:

– MS/PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or related technical disciplines.
– Expertise in working with large data sets, simulation/optimization, and distributed computing tools.
– Extensive experience in statistical and/or data science roles, with knowledge of machine learning, statistics, and optimization.
– Proficiency with tools like SparkML, H20, FlinkML, TensorFlow, Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik.
