NDLEA Seizes N4.6 Billion Worth of Cocaine from Ex-Convict at Lagos Airport
Notorious Drug Kingpin Christian Ifeanyi Ogbuji Arrested Again.
In a stunning revelation, Christian Ifeanyi Ogbuji, a 48-year-old ex-convict, has been apprehended by Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport. Ogbuji, a key figure in a vast network of drug cartels operating between Brazil, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and other West African countries, was caught importing 817 wraps of cocaine weighing 19.40 kilograms.
This arrest comes barely 16 months after Ogbuji’s previous conviction for ingesting 93 pellets of cocaine. He was sentenced to two years imprisonment but paid a fine of N3 million and was released.
NDLEA Chairman Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa praised the officers for their exceptional work, emphasizing the agency’s commitment to disrupting drug cartel activities in Nigeria.
