Bauchi Police Arrest Three Suspected Armed Robbers.
In a significant crackdown on crime, the Bauchi State Police Command has apprehended three members of an armed robbery gang that has been terrorizing the Misau Local Government Area. The suspects, identified as Ahmad Musa (alias Abba Yausa, 20), Tijjani Abdullahi (alias T.J, 20), and Danladi Aliyu (aka Uban Daba, 30), were arrested for alleged criminal conspiracy, housebreaking, and armed robbery.
According to SP Ahmed Muhammad Wakil, the command’s spokesperson, the suspects unlawfully entered a residence in Misau LGA in July 2024, armed with locally made pistols and seven rounds of live ammunition. They made off with N250,000, three handheld phones, and an unspecified quantity of recharge cards from various networks.
The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) apprehended Ahmad Musa with a fabricated pistol and seven rounds of live ammunition. Upon interrogation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the crime.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Auwal Musa Muhammad, has ordered a thorough investigation and prosecution of the suspects. The police are also working to apprehend the remaining fugitives, including Ismail Kawuwa, Sadiq Kange, Adamu Dan Kamfani, and Attahir.
