Nasarawa Catechist Killed in Alleged Gunmen Attack
TRAGEDY STRIKES: Catholic Catechist Slain in Nasarawa.
Nasarawa State was plunged into mourning yesterday as news broke of the brutal murder of Chief Leonard Ezike Okechukwu, Catechist of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Agunji Center. The victim, a respected businessman and owner of Nakowa Pharmacy, was allegedly shot dead at his residence in Nassarawa Eggon, Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area, on Tuesday night, September 24, 2024.
According to eyewitness accounts and social media reports, Ezike’s life was cut short by unknown gunmen who stormed his home. A Facebook user, Christopher, confirmed the tragic incident in a heartfelt post: “Very Painful Exit. May God grant your soul eternal rest Catechist Okey Ezike… CEO Nakowa pharmacy Nassarawa Eggon, who was killed by unknown gunmen yesterday night at his residence Nassarawa Eggon.”
