Police Arrest Four for Gunpoint Car Theft in Edo State

Edo Police Nab Four Gunpoint Car Snatchers.

In a daring operation, the Edo State Police Command has apprehended four suspects for allegedly snatching a Toyota Highlander at gunpoint in Ekpoma. The brazen carjacking occurred on August 23, with the owner, Iwologbe Rapheal, promptly reporting the incident to the authorities.

 The Suspects:

– Ifeanyi Okpara, 26
– Dennis Okosun, 25
– Edwin Iruogbe, 27
– Shehu Ismail, 25 (buyer of the stolen vehicle)

According to Commissioner of Police Nemi Edwin-Iwo, the Anti-Kidnapping Unit’s tech-driven investigation led to the recovery of the stolen vehicle with registration number RBC 66 AQ and the arrest of all suspects involved ¹. The police also recovered a locally made pistol with two live cartridges from the suspects, who have since confessed to the crime.
