Eyewitness accounts and TV footage revealed the harrowing scene, with armed men wielding assault rifles disembarking from a tram and unleashing a hail of bullets. The assault lasted only minutes, ending with the fatal shooting of the two assailants by civilians and inspectors wielding personal pistols.

The incident occurred mere minutes before Iran launched a barrage of missiles targeting Israel, further escalating tensions in the region. Israeli police confirmed that four civilians lost their lives in the attack, with seven others injured to varying degrees.
