Sokoto Ambush: Terrorists Take Lives of Newlywed Army Captain, Three Soldiers
Tragedy Strikes in Sokoto State: Terrorists Ambush and Kill Four Soldiers, Including Newlywed Army Officer.
A devastating attack occurred in Gudu Local Government Area of Sokoto State over the weekend, resulting in the loss of four Nigerian Army soldiers. Among the victims was a newlywed officer, Captain Ibrahim Yibranii Yohana, who had tied the knot with his wife, Jossy Happiness, just a few weeks ago on November 4, 2023.
The soldiers were ambushed by terrorists while on patrol along the Kukurau-Bangi Road on Saturday around 4 pm. The attack left two other soldiers injured and two operational vehicles destroyed by fire.
Captain Yohana’s tragic death has sent shockwaves through his community, with friends and acquaintances taking to social media to pay tribute to the fallen soldier. A friend, Genesis Kaboshio Akau, remembered him as a dedicated and trouble-free individual who loved God.
The attack highlights the ongoing security challenges in the region, and the sacrifices made by Nigerian Army personnel in the fight against terrorism. May the deceased rest in peace, and may their memories be a blessing to their loved ones.
