APC Chairman, Bako Bala Assassinated in Kebbi's Suru Local Government Area

Bako Bala, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Suru Local Government Area of Kebbi State, has been shot dead by unknown gunmen. According to Zaidu Bala, Special Adviser on Television and Radio to Governor Nasir Idris, Bala was kidnapped along with his family on Tuesday and shot, eventually succumbing to his injuries at Medical Centre hospital in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.

The incident has sparked concerns about the safety and security of political leaders in the region. The police in Kebbi have been contacted for comment, but so far, there has been no official response.

This tragic event highlights the ongoing challenges faced by Nigeria in combating violence and ensuring the protection of its citizens, particularly those in positions of authority.
