Unknown Assailant Kills Local guard in Osun
Tragedy struck in Ikirun, Osun State, yesterday, as a local security guard, known as ‘Ibariba’, was found brutally murdered at his duty post. The incident occurred at a shop owned by Baba Giwa, where Ibariba’s lifeless body was discovered early Monday morning.
Residents were thrown into confusion as news of the slaughter spread, and security operatives were quickly alerted. The Nigerian Security and Defence Corps (NSCDC) responded promptly, evacuating the remains and depositing them in a morgue.
Kehinde Adeleke, spokesperson for the NSCDC Osun State Command, confirmed the incident and stated that investigations are underway to determine the cause of Ibariba’s death and apprehend those responsible for the heinous crime.
