Teenager Buried Alive by Siblings in Kaduna Over Alleged Phone Theft
Tragedy struck in Zaria, Kaduna State, when a 16-year-old boy, Abubakar, was brutally buried alive by his two siblings over a dispute involving a missing phone. The horrific incident occurred after the siblings, aged 22 and 18, tracked Abubakar from Abuja to Zaria, where they tortured and buried him alive in an abandoned property.
Fortunately, a good Samaritan discovered Abubakar’s head protruding from a hole and raised the alarm, leading to his rescue. The state commissioner of Human Services and Social Development, Rabi Salisu, confirmed the incident, describing it as a shocking and disturbing case of torture and attempted murder.
The police have arrested the two siblings, who have confessed to the crime, and are currently investigating the matter. The state government has condemned the act and assured that justice will be served. The Ministry of Human Services and Social Development has also taken decisive action, providing support to the victim and monitoring the case closely.
This disturbing incident highlights the need for increased awareness and action to protect children’s rights and prevent such heinous crimes in the future.
