President Tinubu Appoints New Permanent Secretaries to Revitalize FCTA
President Bola Tinubu has made four strategic appointments to strengthen the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), ensuring continuity and enhanced capacity to drive development. The new permanent secretaries are:
– Okeke Joy Chinwe (South East)
– Ajayi Rotimi Babatunde (South West)
– Nathan Nancy Sabanti (North East)
Additionally, the President has established the position of Solicitor-General/Permanent Secretary for the Legal Services Secretariat.
These appointments come as two current secretaries prepare to retire and a new Youth Development Secretariat is created. The swearing-in ceremony is set for August 15, 2024.
According to Anthony Ogunleye, FCTA Director of Press, these appointments are vital for maintaining effective administration and adapting to changing needs and leadership. With fresh leadership, the FCTA is poised to continue its work, ensuring seamless departmental operations and successful mandate implementation.
