Ganduje Hits Back at Kano Government Amid Missing Corruption File Controversy
The notion that crucial documents could be stolen during a protest is not only implausible but also a stark reflection of the state’s escalating ineptitude in managing security and legal affairs. It’s a well-known fact that Governor Yusuf publicly declared his support for the protest on the eve of the event, but the state-government-backed protesters deviated from their original plan, leading to chaos. This clearly indicates that the state government sponsored the violent protest.
Leaders’ words and actions have significant consequences, and Governor Yusuf must acknowledge this. We stand in solidarity with the people of Kano and urge all citizens to remain calm and law-abiding during the investigation. The APC is committed to promoting peace, justice, and good governance nationwide.
Furthermore, Ganduje accused Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of orchestrating the unrest to undermine President Bola Tinubu’s administration. He stated that, contrary to the Kano state government’s claims, it was actually the state government that funded the protest to tarnish the image of President Tinubu’s administration.
It’s alarming that a sitting governor would incite such chaos, putting innocent lives and properties at risk. We strongly condemn this reckless behavior, which aims to destabilize Kano, undermine regional peace and security, and tarnish the President’s image. We demand a thorough investigation into the Kano State Government’s involvement and that the sponsors of this violence be brought to justice to prevent a dangerous precedent.
