Boko Haram Commander Abu Rajab Neutralized in Sambisa Forest Operation
Nigerian Forces Deliver Crushing Blow to Boko Haram in Sambisa Forest Raid
In a daring operation, troops from Operation Hadin Kai, backed by the Hybrid Force and Civilian Joint Task Force, launched a decisive assault on a Boko Haram terrorist camp in the Bula Daloje area of Bama Local Government Area, Borno State, on Saturday.
According to counter-insurgency expert and security analyst Zagazola Makama, intelligence sources revealed that the troops’ incursion into the terrorist enclave was met with fierce resistance, sparking a heavy gunbattle. Despite being ambushed en route, the troops fought valiantly, neutralizing three Boko Haram terrorists, including the notorious commander Abu Rijab.
The successful operation resulted in the elimination of key insurgent leaders and the recovery of two AK-47 rifles and a mobile phone, marking a significant achievement in the ongoing counter-insurgency efforts in the Lake Chad region.
Tragically, one member of the Hybrid Force made the ultimate sacrifice, succumbing to injuries sustained during the operation. Their bravery and sacrifice will not be forgotten.
This daring raid deals a significant blow to Boko Haram’s operations in the region, demonstrating the Nigerian military’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism.
