Plateau Abducted Policeman Found Dead
BANDITS STRIKE AGAIN: Abducted Mobile Policeman Found Dead in Wase Local Government Area.
A grim discovery was made on Sunday in Bangalala, Wase local government area, as the lifeless body of a mobile policeman was found in a bush. The officer was part of a security team battling bandits in the region when he was ambushed and taken captive.
According to sources, the policeman was kidnapped during a fierce confrontation with bandits, while a soldier who was also part of the team managed to escape the attack.
This tragic incident marks the latest in a string of brutal attacks by bandits in Wase local government area. Just last month, on May 21, 2024, bandits unleashed a devastating assault on Zurak community, leaving over 40 villagers dead and many more injured, including vigilantes who were supporting security personnel in their efforts to restore law and order.
The state police command has yet to issue a statement regarding the latest development, which has sent shockwaves through the community. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the escalating violence and insecurity plaguing the region.
