COURTESY VISIT: Commandant Naval Institute of Technology Meets Flag Officer Commanding Logistics Command [Photos]
Navy Chiefs Chart Course for Innovation and Collaboration.
In a strategic move to bolster cooperation and drive innovation, Rear Admiral SJ Oyegade, Commandant of the Naval Institute of Technology (NIT), paid a courtesy visit to Rear Admiral Chijioke Onyemaobi, Flag Officer Commanding Logistics Command (FOC LOC), on Friday, August 16, 2024.
During the meeting, the newly appointed Commandant stressed the need for collaboration and sought support from Logistics Command to enhance NIT’s operations. He praised the FOC LOC and staff officers for their significant contributions to Nigerian Navy operations in the maritime domain.
In response, the FOC LOC expressed gratitude and encouraged the Commandant to prioritize Research and Development (R&D) at NIT, with the goal of operationalizing the R&D Centre. This landmark visit underscores the Nigerian Navy’s dedication to inter-unit collaboration, innovation, and fulfilling its constitutional mandate.
By fostering partnerships and driving innovation, the Nigerian Navy is poised to enhance its operational efficiency and strengthen its presence in the maritime domain.
