Abducted Lady Regains Freedom After Confronting Kidnappers at Kaduna Military Checkpoint
KIDNAPPED WOMAN RESCUES SELF BY EXPOSING ABDUCTORS AT MILITARY CHECKPOINT.
In a daring move, 25-year-old Mercy Ishaya has regained her freedom after bravely identifying her kidnappers to soldiers at a checkpoint in Kaduna State.
According to eyewitnesses, Mercy was abducted on August 28, 2024, from her home in New Bwari, Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State, during which her father, Godiya Ishaya, was brutally attacked and left for dead.
However, luck smiled on Mercy when soldiers intercepted a Toyota Sienna conveying her captors, who were fleeing a security operation in Dogon-Daji Forest, Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Seizing the opportunity, Mercy promptly alerted the soldiers, revealing her identity and providing her father’s phone number. She was subsequently taken to the hospital for medical attention before being reunited with her family.
The suspects, on the other hand, were taken into custody and transferred to a military barracks in Kaduna.
The incident was confirmed by Abubakar Hussaini, commander of vigilantes in Tafa LGA, who praised Mercy’s courage in the face of danger.
