Betrayal of Trust: PA and Driver Nabbed for Brutal Murder of Ondo Businesswoman

A shocking turn of events has unfolded in the investigation into the brutal murder of Ondo State caterer, Debbie Olakunbi Adene, who was hacked to death in her Akure home on July 28, just five days after celebrating her birthday.

According to reports, Adene’s Personal Assistant (PA) has confessed to the crime, revealing that he and the victim’s driver conspired to kill her in order to steal the money sprayed on her during her birthday celebrations.

The PA, whose name has been withheld, was arrested by homicide detectives in Akure, while the driver remains at large. The police have confirmed that the PA provided valuable information about the circumstances surrounding the murder, including the fact that the driver supplied the weapon used to kill Adene.

The victim’s husband, Dele Adene, had expressed frustration over the delay in arrests, but the police have assured that they are working diligently to bring all perpetrators to justice.
