EFCC Grills Impostor in Gombe for Posing as Staff

IMPOSTOR ALERT: EFCC Grills Fake Staff in Gombe.

Gombe, Nigeria – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has launched a probe into the activities of a suspected impostor, Solomon Yohana, who allegedly posed as a staff member of the Commission.

Yohana was apprehended on August 19, 2024, in Guyuk Local Government Area of Adamawa State by the Department of State Service (DSS) and subsequently handed over to the EFCC’s Gombe Zonal Directorate.

Upon his arrest, several incriminating items were recovered, including a fake EFCC ID card, counterfeit EFCC letterheads, a fake EFCC polo shirt, and a bogus Special Control Unit against Money Laundering (SCUML) shirt.

As the investigation continues, Yohana is expected to face charges in court once the probe is concluded. The EFCC’s swift action underscores its commitment to rooting out impostors and maintaining the integrity of its operations.
