EFCC Conducts Midnight Raid on Usmanu Danfodiyo University Hostels, Arrests Multiple Students.
In a surprise operation, operatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) raided private hostels at Usmanu Danfodiyo University in Sokoto, arresting several students. The raid occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, specifically in the Kwakwalawa and Gidan Yaro communities, where dozens of students were taken into custody.
According to eyewitness accounts, EFCC operatives stormed the hostels around 4 am, indiscriminately arresting students. This development has left many in the university community shaken.
This isn’t the first time the EFCC has conducted such a raid. In February, a similar operation took place at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), where students were arrested and allegedly assaulted by EFCC officials from the Benin Zonal office.
