IGP Reshuffles Top Police Brass: New Commissioners Posted to Rivers, Delta, FCT

Police Force Shake-Up: IGP Orders Redeployment of Top Commanders.

In a bid to boost efficiency and tackle insecurity, Inspector-General of Police Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun has ordered the redeployment of Commissioners of Police in Rivers, Delta, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This strategic move aims to reposition the Police Force for effective policing.

 New postings include:

– CP Olatunji Disu: Now CP FCT
– CP Abaniwonda Olufemi: Now CP Rivers State Command
– CP Peter Opara: Now CP Delta State Command

Additionally, four new Commissioners of Police have been deployed to:

– Abia State Command: CP Danladi Nda
– Lagos State Command: CP Olanrewaju Ishola Olawale
– Ebonyi State Command: CP Anthonia Adaku Uche-Anya
– Akwa-Ibom State Command: CP Festus Eribo

The IGP has charged the new commanders to prioritize diligence, innovation, and police reform plans to address security challenges and drive progress in the Nigeria Police Force and the country at large.
