Lagos Police Crack Down on Cocaine Trafficking: Two Suspects Arrested.
In a significant blow to cocaine trafficking in Lagos, the state police command has apprehended two suspected drug dealers in possession of 120 wraps of a substance believed to be cocaine. The arrests were made possible by a tip-off, which led officers from the Ojo Division to swoop in on the suspects in the Ojo area.
Suspects’ Details
– Sunday Nwabufor, 47, of Festac
– Obinna Nweke, 45, of Ketu Mile 12
According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, the suspects were arrested on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at approximately 2:00 pm. The successful operation is a testament to the command’s commitment to ridding the state of illicit substances.
This breakthrough comes as part of the police’s ongoing efforts to curb drug-related activities in Lagos. With the suspects now in custody, investigators will likely unravel more details about the cocaine trafficking network they allegedly operated.
