Nigerian Army Launches Live-Fire Exercise in Taraba

Nigerian Army’s Sixth Brigade Launches Shooting Exercise in Taraba.

The Nigerian Army’s Sixth Brigade, headquartered in Jalingo, Taraba State, kicks off a three-day shooting exercise today in Jimlari as part of its annual range classification exercise. This routine drill, scheduled to run from September 17 to 19, aims to enhance unit personnel’s weapon handling and maintenance skills.

– Objective: Improve weapon handling and maintenance ability

Public Advisory

Residents are advised not to panic due to the exercise, as measures are in place to ensure public safety. However, they are cautioned to avoid the 114 Battalion at Jimlari shooting range area during the exercise.

The Nigerian Army has been actively engaging in various training exercises and operations across the country, including the 81 Division’s operations planning cadre to boost military readiness. These efforts demonstrate the Army’s commitment to maintaining national security and protecting its citizens.
