In a significant blow to oil thieves, the Nigerian Navy’s Forward Operating Base Igbokoda uncovered and dismantled an illegal refining site in the Awoye Riverine community, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State on Monday, August 19, 2024.
The raid, part of Operation Delta Sanity, yielded a stash of stolen crude oil, storage tanks, a pumping machine, and a wooden boat. The Nigerian Navy’s relentless fight against crude oil theft has dealt another blow to the illicit activities of oil thieves in the region.
