Police Apprehend Four Kidnapping Kingpins in Abuja

Four Notorious Kidnappers Nabbed by FCT Police Command.

In a major breakthrough, the FCT Police Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit has apprehended four notorious kidnappers who have been wreaking havoc on residents of the Federal Capital Territory. The suspects, identified as Yau Sani (aka Baba), Nuhu (aka Giwa), Kabiru Mohammed, and Yusuf Hassan, were arrested on October 1, 2024, at their hideouts in Sauka, Abuja.

According to Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the kidnappers confessed to their involvement in multiple kidnappings and the murder of seven victims. Their reign of terror spanned several areas, including Dakwa, Dawaki, Aco Estate, Dupe Village near Zuma Rock, Kuchiko Village, and parts of Niger and Kaduna States.

Key Confessions:

Kidnappings and Murder: The suspects admitted to kidnapping unsuspecting residents and killing seven victims.
Planned Attacks: They revealed plans to attack government institutions and residential estates in the FCT, which were thwarted by proactive police efforts.
Arms Cache: The suspects led police to another hideout in Gauraka Forest, Suleja, Niger State, where four AK-47 rifles, thirteen AK-47 magazines, and 162 rounds of live ammunition were recovered.
