Police Service Commission Approves Appointment of New Commissioners for Four States

Police Service Commission Announces New Commissioners for Four States.

In a bid to fill vacancies created by recent promotions, the Police Service Commission has appointed four new substantive commissioners of police for Abia, Lagos, Ebonyi, and Akwa Ibom state commands.

According to a statement released on Friday by Ikechukwu Ani, PSC Head of Press and Public Relations, the new commissioners are:

– Isah Danladi Nda, Abia State Command
– Olarewaju Ishola Olawale, Lagos State Command
– Anthonia Adaku Uche Anya, Ebonyi State Command
– Miller Gajere Dantawaye, Akwa Ibom State Command

The new appointees will replace outgoing commissioners Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, Adegoke Fayoade, Augustina Ogbodo, and Waheed Ayilara, respectively.

Chairman of the Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu, charged the new commissioners to make a positive impact in their states, emphasizing that their performance will be closely monitored. He urged them to build a competitive, competent, and efficient police force, stressing that their appointments are a call to greater dedication to service.

The approvals have been conveyed to the Inspector General of Police for implementation.
