POS Operator Murdered by Cultists in Ogun

Tragedy Strikes Ogun Community as POS Operator is Brutally Murdered.

Fatai Kehinde, a 48-year-old POS operator and son of the Baale of Kuto Community, was tragically killed by suspected cultists in Ogun on Friday. The incident occurred when Kehinde, popularly known as Faithy, was closing his shop at Kuto Market. His assailants, disguised as customers, attacked him, and after a failed attempt to shoot him, they chased him down and brutally murdered him under the Kuto Bridge.

This senseless killing comes just four days after a barber was murdered in the same area, sparking fears of a cultist gang on the loose. The community is in shock, and the police have confirmed that they are investigating both incidents, with efforts underway to apprehend the perpetrators. Faithy was laid to rest on Saturday at 2 pm, leaving behind a grieving community and family.

The Ogun State Police Command has assured the public that they are working tirelessly to bring the perpetrators to justice. Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, confirmed that the command is aware of the two incidents and is taking concrete steps to apprehend those behind the killings.

The community is still reeling from the shock of Faithy’s murder, and many are calling for increased security measures to prevent such incidents in the future. The police have urged anyone with information about the killings to come forward and assist in the investigation.

Faithy’s family and friends are still trying to come to terms with his tragic loss, and the community is rallying around them to offer support during this difficult time. The incident has once again highlighted the need for vigilance and cooperation between the community and law enforcement agencies to tackle the menace of cultism and violent crime.
