Two black women, Maria Makgato, 45, and Lucia Ndlovu, 34, were allegedly shot and killed by a white farmer, Zachariah Johannes Olivier, 60, and his two workers, Adrian de Wet, 19, and William Musora, 50, on a farm near Polokwane in Limpopo province. The victims were reportedly searching for food when they were brutally murdered on August 17.

Attempted Cover-Up

In a shocking twist, the suspects allegedly fed the women’s bodies to pigs in an attempt to destroy evidence. The police later discovered the decomposing bodies in a pigsty, with Makgato’s brother, Walter Mathole, describing the scene as “horrific”.

Protests have erupted outside the court, with demonstrators demanding that the suspects be denied bail. The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) opposition party has called for the farm’s closure, citing concerns about consumer safety.
