TRAGEDY STRIKES CALABAR: Two Young Women Killed, Two Men Critically Injured in Car Crash.
A devastating car accident has claimed the lives of two young women and left two men fighting for their lives in Calabar, Cross River State. The incident occurred at the Mobil by MCC junction in Calabar Municipality LGA in the early hours of Monday, August 19, 2024.
According to eyewitnesses, the two victims, identified as Wofai and Bella, succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The four occupants of the white Mercedes-Benz GLK 350-4Matic were returning from a friend’s birthday party held on Sunday night, August 18. The two deceased women were students of the Cross River State College of Health Technology, Calabar, while the identities of the two injured men remain unknown.
Video footage from the scene shows the victims in a distressing state, surrounded by blood, with the vehicle severely damaged. The cause of the accident is currently unknown and is under investigation.
This tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving friends and family of the victims in mourning.
